Hi, I’m Dr. Mary Teresa Prendiville—most folks around here just call me Dr. P! I’ve been in dentistry since 2011, serving smiles across multiple areas of the United States. In 2020, I took over Prendiville Family Dental in Bartow from Dr. Linda May, a beloved dentist who served the Bartow community for more than 20 years. It’s been my mission to keep that cozy, small-town feel while adding my own personal touches and expertise. I’m not about rushing patients out the door; I take my time to get to know you, make you feel at home, and ensure every visit is as comfortable as a chat with an old friend. Your trust in me matters, and I never settle for anything less than the best care for your smile.

A proud University of Maryland School of Dentistry graduate, I refined my skills through a hospital-based residency and advanced training in moderate sedation and oral surgery at the Oral Surgical Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. I specialize in oral surgery, implants, root canals, and extractions, all done in-house at our Bartow private practice. As one of the few general dentists offering IV sedation in Bartow, I ensure stress-free, complex treatments. Through ongoing education, I stay current with dental advancements, keeping care simple and personal – no corporate fluff, just real care for real people.

When I’m not in the office, you might catch me hiking the local trails with a big grin or at home snuggling with my two fur babies—my cats, who definitely rule the roost! As a small business owner and animal lover, I’m passionate about connecting with our tight-knit community, from being a member of the Bartow Chamber of Commerce, and volunteering at Tampa’s Judeo-Christian Health Clinic, to bringing smiles to Jamaica on dental mission trips.
